Your support as a campaign backer means every donation we receive will be worth twice as much and have double the impact!
Help us double donations
‘From That Moment’ Backers like you come on board with our campaign, we know we can be there to help babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, make the most of every day.
As a campaign Backer you will be playing a critical role in helping us raise as much money as possible, by unlocking additional donations for our charity.
Thanks to a ‘matched funding pot’ provided by generous campaign backers like you, every donation made to the appeal will be doubled in the final 36 hours of the appeal - between Sunday 20th to Monday 21st October.
As a backer, your donation will change lives by unlocking support from the public, doubling the value and impact of every donation.
We know that people are particularly motivated to give when they know their donation is being doubled at no additional cost to the donor. We can only double donations received if we have a matched giving pot to draw upon. Your generosity as a backer will make this possible.
We are asking a small number of key benefactors to act as campaign ‘backers’, pledging a total of £500,000. This creates our matched giving pot. Pledges can be made over multiple years and payment of any amount you pledge will be contingent on Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice raising an equivalent amount during the campaign period.
The wider Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice community will rally around the charity during the campaign period to donate £500,000, knowing that their donation will be doubled by the matched giving pot pledged by our backers. Donations from individuals inspires others to donate too.
Our campaign will engage many existing and new supporters and we will work to bring as many of them as possible on the journey with us long-term. We would love to grow our numbers of regular and legacy givers and this campaign provides a wonderful opportunity to do so.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why 36 hours?
This timeframe drives a sense of urgency and excitement. It is long enough to get lots of people involved and brief enough to give everyone a focus.
Will my support be acknowledged publicly?
Our wish would be to celebrate and publicly thank you for your support by including your name on all campaign collateral. The extent in which you are publicly acknowledged is entirely up to you and will be discussed prior to anything going live.
What will I get from being a backer?
Your support is vital to our campaign. Becoming a backer is going to make a huge difference to our local and wider community and you can feel incredibly proud of the impact you are making. You will be helping children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day.
How will the campaign unfold?
The campaign will be hosted on a unique crowdfunding platform. Key supporters to the charity will act as Champions and perform a role akin to a digital gala dinner table host.
These Champions will use email, WhatsApp, SMS, social media and phone calls to inspire their networks to help reach the campaign target, unlocking the matched giving pot in the process. If you’d like and are able to, we’d love to welcome you as a Champion as well. You can then help us spread the word about our campaign to your friends, family and network.
"It wasn’t until Noah’s Ark stepped into our lives that we realised quite how stressful and challenging things had been before. The support The Ark provides our daughter is incredible, and the support to us has allowed us to feel we have a little of our life back."
Simon, father of Ruby, who is supported by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice
“Noah’s Ark has been a beacon of light for the children and families it serves. The Ark will ensure that children across north and central London receive the best possible care and support. It’s a children’s hospice that has been built by the community for the community and is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when Londoners work together.”
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, who opened The Ark in 2019.
