Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a community-based hospice service providing care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London and Hertsmere.
We are currently constructing The Ark, a specialist children’s hospice building, due to be operational in spring 2019.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is regulated by the Care Quality Commission cqc.org.uk and registered with the Fundraising Regulator fundraisingregulator.org.uk, and with the Information Commissioner in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a Registered Charity, No. 1081156 and a Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England No. 3901606. Within the context of this Privacy Policy “Noah’s Ark”, “We” and “Us” mean Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

If your family uses our services we will need to obtain up to date personal details, general medical and social care information including clinic letters, copies of prescriptions (FP10), emergency care and advance care plans, and other relationships you hold that are relevant, such as medical professionals and family members.
As a supporter of Noah’s Ark where appropriate or relevant, we may ask for event specific information, such as date of birth, emergency contacts, health information (relating to eligibility to participate) or dietary requirements; your reason for supporting or donating; other relationships you hold that are relevant, such as your employer or family members.
We obtain personal information from you when a referral is made to us, when you make a donation to us, enquire about our events and activities, register with us, send or receive an email, ask a question about our services or otherwise provide us with your personal information.
In order to provide safe and effective care we collect and share personal data from other professionals including (but not limited to) schools, community teams, GPs, hospitals, local authorities and/or clinical commissioning groups.
We also gather your personal data from organisations providing fundraising services on our behalf, such as Your Hospice Lottery, JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving and Givey.
To help us create a more effective website that reflects users’ needs, we may also use cookie files and collect IP addresses (a number that identifies a specific computer or other internet device) to gather general information about the use of our websites, such as pages visited and areas of most interest. The safety of children is very important to us. We will only display the name of a child or family and associated information if we have consent from the family involved.
We may use personal information for analysis and profiling, to understand families’ and supporters’ interests and preferences, improve fundraising efficiency and help us make the most appropriate requests for support. On occasion we may also make use of publicly available demographic information. We will only use data collected in this manner for purposes to which you have consented.
From time to time we will use external data sources to maintain the quality and accuracy of postal contact details.
We would like to keep in touch with you about the work we do, our fundraising events and activities, our appeals and campaigns, and how your donations are used.
We will only contact you by email, SMS or telephone with your consent. If we contact you by post, we will not contact you again if you ask us not to.

We share data with organisations authorised to provide fundraising services to us, such as Your Hospice Lottery, who administrate our weekly lottery, and GoCardless and Stripe who manage our online donations.
Your information may be shared with us by independent fundraising organisations, for example online fundraising websites like JustGiving, Virgin Money Giving or Givey. If you consent to your data being shared with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice as part of making your donation or setting up a fundraising page on their website, they will provide your personal data to us. Where we use an external service provider to act on our behalf, we will disclose only the personal information necessary to deliver the service and will have a contract in place that requires the provider to comply with Noah’s Ark Data Protection and information security requirements.

On rare occasions, for financial or technical reasons, Noah’s Ark may need to use Internet Service Providers located outside of the European Economic Area.

Care records are held until the child’s 25th birthday or 26th birthday if the child was 17 at conclusion of treatment, or 8 years after death.
